Yesterday I was checking out a used car that seemed like a great deal, but I wasn’t sure what to look for beyond the usual test drive stuff. It made me wonder, what exactly does a pre purchase car inspection cover? I know there must be more to it than just glancing around under the hood or taking it for a spin. For example, does it include detailed checks on the engine, brakes, tires, and fluids? And how thorough are these inspections when it comes to spotting hidden problems or wear that might not be obvious at first? I’m asking because I want to feel confident about my choice and avoid costly surprises later. For those who’ve gone through this process, what parts of the inspection surprised them the most?
